Daytrips from Bergen

Bergen, a city of culture is known as the gateway to the fjords. Surrounded by 7 mountains it is the perfect combination of being an international city but yet having that smalltown charm. With the Unesco listed Bryggen wharf, Michelin starred restaurants and a range of activities it is the perfect starting point for your Norwegian holiday!

Bergen to Bekkjarvik would be the ideal start of a perfect daytrip.

Bekkjarvik hotel has been the heart of this fishing village ever since its establishment in the 1600s. Today guests are coming for dining experiences in a restaurant boasting some of the best chefs in Norway. Ørjan Johannessen won the gold medal in Bocuse d`Or 2015, and in 2014, his twin brother Arnt received the award for “Kitchen Manager of the Year”, here in Norway. With a menu based on all local produce you will have a dining experience to remember! We can also arrange cooking classes or wine tasting on request.

We then continue in to the Hardangerfjord, known for it's annual fruit blossom. We visit Rosendal, a village beautifully nestled in between two mountains. The castle Baroniet Rosendal (from 1678) offers guided tours, exhibitions, concerts and much more. After the visit in Rosendal we return back to Bergen.
